I know there are a lot of folks on Substack looking for work and specifically for tech work.
I know reddit is full of horror stories of people cramming on leetcode for 6 months to even land an interview for an abusive tech job.
I know nearly everyone is making less than they did in the 90s, across the board, unless you are a CEO gargling some oligarchs balls.
I know over 40s are routinely laid off from tech and not invited to return.
I know outsourcing and H-1b visas are prevalent in tech.
I know many Americans don’t have retirement saved, or even savings.
So in today’s series of polls, I would like to try to quantify how easy/hard it has been for folks to find work paying what they earned before, and some other adjacent circumstances and thank you for participating if you wanna.
Like my other Poll, these are set to “forever.”
Thank you for sharing your answers, and if you like, these polls. :)
