John Lennon Knew
He was still just the Yellow Submarine guy to me when the first in a very long line of angry white dudes with 3 names in my lifetime decided killing was acceptable.
I take it as a personal affront when people try to suppress, contaminate, or exterminate love.
It should be a red flag to anyone, as it is coercive abuse to begin with.
I found some great Lennon quotes:
“A dream you dream alone is only a dream. A dream you dream together is reality.”
“Our society is run by insane people for insane objectives. I think we're being run by maniacs for maniacal ends and I think I'm liable to be put away as insane for expressing that. That's what's insane about it.“
“If everyone demanded peace instead of another television set, then there'd be peace.”
"God is a concept by which we measure our pain."
while looking for the one I mostly remembered and wanted:
"When it gets down to having to use violence, then you are playing the system's game. The establishment will irritate you -- pull your beard, flick your face -- to make you fight. Because once they've got you violent, then they know how to handle you. The only thing they don't know how to handle is nonviolence and humor." - John Lennon
(my rapist ex’s greatest fear is that he would be laughed at, do your worst…)
The most valuable work anyone can do right now is practicing mastering their emotions. The quote (I was looking for) and the demise of who uttered it (I was 8 and remember the day as earlier generations remember JFK) are both fine examples why.
If someone can make you afraid, or angry (maybe full-on berzerkers get a pass here, God looks out for children and crazy people, right?) they can use it against you to dominate you and turn you into them (like a zombie). Just like a small person can use the force of a much larger attacker to flip them, we are being shown people’s emotions will flip them into the arms of fascism that advertised it openly.
Quick to jump to the hate takes you out of the real fight fast. Keep your fucking cool, man.
Disowning family (cult members do that, what cult suggested you should)
Withholding sex (virtue signaling with a side of cutting off your nose to spite your face)
And fucking FLAIR to identify yourselves, which only a few have the relative safety and entitlement to do. When it is unsafe to is when it matters, and you won’t then, the next vapid tik-tok-trend will be well underway by January.
My partner commented this made him think of the Star of David Nazis made prisoners wear. I don’t see it that way, but I am going to use this observation to show how fucked up “logic” is these days.
Less Complicated Example: I don’t think a lot of people, myself included, realized how fascist “the left” was getting and has become. It is a mirror of the right, just over different virtue signally shit with neither able to just let other people live their lives. Defenders of the marginalized turned fasci. Who knew?
So I wasn’t fully onboard with the comparison because these symbols and wearing them were chosen. So then I thought of the pink triangle homosexual prisoners were made to wear. That is a symbol that was later embraced. The “n word” (sorry, too white and beaten down by liberals to even try another descriptor) was reclaimed and is used from a place of love among those who use it.
While women are certainly marginalized, along with LGBT and people of color, they do not represent all marginalized women, they represent democrats who aren’t getting laid anytime soon. They are the least marginalized of the marginalized, making it a big deal because it’s them.
Further, they probably weren’t banging right wingers (or finding great candidates for quality partners in general) to begin with. It’s easy to give up what you’re not getting. Ask an incel.
Fearing the “other,” judging and assuming about “others,” and demanding they look, act, and be the same when it is not feasible or desirable. ALL based on presumed values, assumption of “others,” and self-aggrandizing wishful thinking preloaded on our own operating systems, programmed by cradle-to-grave propaganda from various spheres of influence, with whatever feelings we think we have about it all but fucking assigned to us until we take charge.
For some subset of the population, these tiny pockets of otherdom represent some sort of threat. The only one I can come up with is for their exceptionalism/superiority Who will be left to blame when no marginalized groups remain and they remain losers? Will they admit they’ve been played for suckers or double down, turning on each other.
It’s as if nobody has ever read The Sneetches, Yertle the Turtle OR The Lorax, or they missed the point, grew up and only cared about themselves. One of many cross-roads may be middle life. People take stock, many decide they’ve had it with living for other people’s expectations and find their passions. Some, and maybe (probably) they were terrible people to begin with, HATE someone choosing to find happiness instead of clutching to misery as they have.
Meanwhile, the actual threat, the poison that divides countries, families, friends, genders, generations, and every conceivable ism, rages on unabated. Absurdly, we double down on believing the lies we are told about each other that are meant to divide us. We ARE the dumb bitch running upstairs in the horror movie.

PSAs
There was a time PSAs were made warning people about this sort of thing. Now noticing it will get you accused of tin-foil tiara string board conspiracies, and probably called intolerant of free speech, but also too woke.
Unless of course you are some sort of expert:
Fearing change or resenting the “thems” is a personal problem. All of society shouldn’t be forced to suffer for it. Find therapy, find God, or find a privatized prison. You may even get to rub shoulders…or something, with celebrities.
Don’t be a sucker.
More Love
“Love is the answer, and you know that for sure; Love is a flower, you've got to let it grow.”
"They, whoever they are, don't stand a chance, because they can't beat love".
- John Lennon
"They are the least marginalized of the marginalized, making it a big deal because it’s them.
Further, they probably weren’t banging right wingers (or finding great candidates for quality partners in general) to begin with. It’s easy to give up what you’re not getting. Ask an incel."
Excellent! (And it sucks being the least marginalized aof the marginalized - in the "victim olympics" does it even count?)
